DHPO, Inc. Board Meeting

Monday, May 9, 2022

Meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m., and quorum was established. Board of Directors present: Tom Bowles (President), Robert Lund (VP), Ginney Regan (Treasurer), Lauren Fulton (Secretary), Members at Large: Kathy Bondesen, and Lash Russell. Larry Falter (Member at Large) attended a portion of the meeting via telephone.

Treasurer’s Financial Report – Ginney Regan with April 2022 Closing Comments (Handout of Assets & Distribution/Receipts sheets – 2 pages)

  • Discussed ongoing legal expenses

  • Current Fiscal Year active membership count – 111 property lot owners (3 active members sold and moved, therefore 108 current active lot owner residents)

  • One newly purchased property Lot 32 Finlinson owners emailed their intention to join, submitted their membership form and will mail in their prorated $75 dues for this current year.

  • Properties for Sale or Market currently are: Lot 45, Lot 70, and Lot 159.   (Just informed Lot 2 will be place on market this summer sometime by current owners.)

Secretary’s Report – Lauren Fulton

  • Website Renewal Status – Reference email sent with status and request for input 5/6/2022. (Handout provided)

  • Presentation by Lauren on proposed website and run through.

  • Board Concurrence for Launch Date (target June pending revisions)

Fire Mitigation Grant Status – Lash Russell

Summary of Information from meeting with Colorado State Forest Service Representatives. (Handout provided)

  • Scheduled presentation to All Deerfield Residents on May 19th Meeting

  • Presentation to include general information on fire mitigation

  • Will begin accepting applications in August for FRWRM (one application represents all Deerfield properties)

  • Forest Service needs intent from interested residents in writing, does not represent commitment, at time of application

  • Anticipate grant approval this fall, with estimates next spring ($75 for initial visit)

  • This grant does not have provision to cover administrative costs, so there is an estimated $250-275 per property, depending on number of participants. This is an upfront cost and not subject to 50% reimbursement.

  • Forest Service organizes contractor visit to create a quote for the homeowner (50% covered by grant). Minimum 1 acre of work.

  • Proposal for DHPO to organize and administrate for benefit of community.

  • Plan on creating sign up sheet for interested property owners for Thursday’s meeting.

  • ECC Approvals posted on Website through May 3, 2022.

  • Cheryl Gerger is Lead ECC for May 2022

  • ECC Enforcement

New Business

Douglas County Planning Meeting Wednesday, May 11th to discuss new zoning regulation proposals to AG-1 & RR-1 Zoned Home Business Uses

Spring Dumpster Day – Saturday, May 14, 2022 – All Deerfield E-Blast notice sent out 5/5/2022 

All Deerfield Residents Meeting – Thursday, May 19th, 2022 – Franktown Fire Station. Confirmed Agenda

July 4th, 2022 Annual Tractor Parade – Monday at 9am gathering with 10am commencement of Parade. Porta potty reserved
