March 2022 Board of Directors Meeting

DHPO, Inc. Board Meeting
Monday, March 28, 2022

Meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m., and quorum was established. Board of Directors present: Tom Bowles (President), Robert Lund (VP), Ginney Regan (Treasurer), Lauren Fulton (Secretary), Members at Large: Kathy Bondesen, and Lash Russell. Larry Falter (Member at Large) attended a portion of the meeting via telephone.

Discussed ongoing ECC Enforcement items.

Fire Mitigation

  • Two options for grant funding: State Forest Service & Douglas Country

  • Funding organizations will not work with individual homeowners. They prefer to work with associations.

  • Motion approved for DHPO to help organize and administer State Forest Service funding on behalf of active members (at time of approval process).

  • Grant funding total and approval process is unknown at this time.

Treasurer’s Status Report

  • Received USPS bill that will be included in March financials.

  • Also received invoice for attorney’s services that will be reflected in April financials.

  • Ginney and Lauren completed Wells Fargo account authorization.

  • We added one new member. We currently have 111 active property lot owners (57.5%), compared to 136 (70%) from 2020 fiscal year.

Website Proposal

  • Reviewed mockups and proposal provided prior to the meeting.

  • We will retain iPage hosting but switch to WordPress for website development. WordPress is free.

  • We will maintain meeting minutes and financial records for 2 prior fiscal years.

  • We will maintain single administration email for both Board and ECC members.

Near-term Planning Dates

  • Dumpster Day:

    • Douglas County Slash Mulch Program begins April 2nd.

    • Tentatively scheduled for Saturday, May 14th.

    • Tom to contact dumpster service. Estimating $1,000 for two dumpsters.

  • Community Meeting:

    • Plan to host meeting at Franktown Fire Station on Thursday, May 19th. DHPO has already reserved this date.

    • May be an opportunity to explore Fire Mitigation grants and allow community to ask questions.

    • Tom will see if one of the Douglas County Commissioners is available to meet with residents.

  • Membership Drive (June 2022)

  • July 4th (Monday – Tractor Parade)
