August 2024 Board of Directors Meeting
DHPO, Inc. Board Meeting
Date: Thursday, August 29, 2024
Time: 6:30 – 8:00 pm
Meeting was called to order at 6:40 p.m. and quorum was established. Board of Directors present: Dave Jacobs (President), Glen Rout (Treasurer), Lauren Fulton (Vice President), Shauna Smith (Secretary). Members at Large present: Cheryl Gerger, Tim Korf
Treasurer’s Report – Glen Rout
· Financials through 7/31/24 were presented. New reporting format created by Glen was reviewed and discussed.
· Follow up conversation was had regarding establishing a method to make and process electronic payments. More research will be done to see which provider makes the most sense for DHPO to move forward with.
· Tax return to be filed by 9/15 or will file for an extension.
· Awaiting annual invoice for website renewal.
Secretary’s Report – Shauna Smith
· 2024-2025 current fiscal year active membership count – 76 property owners as of 8/29/24. Membership count for 2023-2024 was 96.
· Website status – Lauren continues to maintain and update website as needed.
· Deerfield Directory- 2024-2025 – electronic distribution of directory will be done in September.
Fire Mitigation Grant Status – Lash Russell
· Next reimbursement from forest service will be #8.
· Depending on the acceptance of pending bids to individual property owners, additional funds may be available to invite the next owners on the waiting list.
New Business – All
· Member meeting Tuesday September 17, 6:30 – 9:00 at Franktown Fire Station.
· Bi-Annual Meetings – open to all or just members? Per Bylaws, DHPO must hold two member meetings per year. In order to invite all property owners, there would need to be a separate/third meeting or bylaws would have to be changed.
Next board meeting will be October 30, at 6:30
